Drakes' Story

Drakes was originally built as as two townhouses in the 1820’s by the celebrated partnership of Charles Busby and Amon Wilds. Both buildings are Grade Two listed and form part of Brighton’s famous sea-front. Perfectly located a stone’s throw from many of the city’s main attractions, Drakes is on Marine Parade, right by the sea.

Drakes became part of A Curious Group of Hotels in the summer of 2023 and sits alongside its sister properties – the Portobello Hotel in London, L’Hotel in Paris and Canal House, in Amsterdam. Drakes’ location, great service and charm has long made it a favourite amongst regulars who feel like they are returning home when they walk back through the doors.
